if you love me like music i'll be your song

good old fashioned heart. i was listening to dreamboat annie on my way into work this morning, hence the title.

annnnd as promised! nail polish! so this has been about 9 months of collecting. i basically got started when i stumbled across scrangie's nail blog and i fell in love with zoya nail polish colours. so i went to ebay and bought one of their colletions, it was i think 6 nail polishes for about £15. and it has been ongoing from there! sometimes i buy single polishes...well actually. i usually buy single polishes. i have only bought 2 full collections and that is zoya downtown and zoya....flourish. although i do want to purchase the china glaze kaleidescope collection. my favourite polishes tend to be holographic glitter polishes which means that they are smooth to the touch, not chunky gritty glitter. but smooth polish that sparkle and are beautiful.

i am currently obsessed with Rescue Beauty Lounge. their application is flawless and the colours are gorgeous and they are so damn shiny.

without further adieu....

where my nail polish lives, in the second drawer of my nightstand

and most people organise their polish by colour...but i grouped them by brand. the same way i organise my itunes by album instead of artist.

rescue beauty lounge....swoon

nubar....the duochrome people!

essie, i swear i have more than 3. but these got really flashed out. the left one is this great magenta purple, super vibrant. the middle on is this great orangey coral, the last one is dark blue/black with silver glitter called starry starry night. it's a gorgeous polish, but it is not smooth, the glitter is gritty which makes it a pain

china glaze (this is the sleigh ride collection. glitter red called ruby pumps [beautiful colour], a silver glitter called tinsel [that really doesn't wow me] and a green glitter called emerald something. it's amazing)

Nfu.Oh - this really amazing hong kong brand of nail polish...i am in love with th ebottle, it's a woman in a corset and the actual bottle is the dress. it even has a flouncy skirt in the back and the back of the handle is the corset. plus the colours are ridiculous, so unlike anything on the american market

OPI...this is the one tha tpuzzles me. i KNOW i have more than what is in this picture but i don't know where they are. but my flat's a tip (as always) so i don't know where anything is. it's also entirely possible that vanessa still has a bottle of my polish. but i know i have way more than this

and then zoya. i love zoya. their colours are beautiful and i rarely have application problems. a few polishes need more than 3 coats to get to the level of opacity i prefer...but they're still worth it.

and lastly...the randoms. seche vite, poshe, qtica, revlon, creative...etc. it's the misc pile

my current manicure, rescue beauty lounge purple haze. it's a beautiful purple, the flash turned it blue...but it's this blue/grey/purple colour and it is a vibrant easter egg purple. if that makes sense

my previous manicure, rescue beauty lounge coral...a pinky coral instead of an orange coral

and then all but the RBL polishes (which went back in their individual boxes) clumped together on the table

i'm currently on a nail polish ban until march when i intend to purchase the china glaze kaleidescope collection. i get £20/month for nail polish for the future months...which is going to be tough! but i will do my best to live in my budget. this is about 80-85 polishes and i think i have about 10 more fluttering around. i hope to post an updated collection thread in a few months time. if i wasn't on a budget it would explode double the size but i'm trying to be good. i don't need kaleidescope collection now.

yay! i LOVE your nail polishes. I want to come over to your house right now and have a manicure with you and we'll eat cookies and drink yummy coffee and then take a walk and go window shopping for shoes. i'll be over in 10 minutes. leave the front door open for me.
